Office in London, England at Constructed stage in 2002

Situated close to the Bank of England in the City of London, this 11,000 sq.m seven-storey scheme arranges office accommodation around a central core and incorporates retail accommodation at ground and lower levels.

The massing, materials and detail design of the building respect the urban context and the site location with a conservation area. The composition of the facades is articulated into distinct blocks by the addition or omission of external stone elements to standardised cladding bays set between stone clad perimeter piers. Innovative design allowed extensive prefabrication of façade, structure and other building elements during construction.

The building was a finalist in the Stone Craft Awards 2003.
